I have a big sea fishing match this weekend and last weekend my sea fishing multipliers took a hammering; a crack off and a birds nest from hell. The few that did survive, the line looked like it had been dragged through a field of razor blades. Well I suppose that is one of the many joys fishing over a mussel bed.
So in this blog I'm going to share with you how I strip the remaining line off my reels. Super easy, super fast and super tidy.
I remember many of times before I learned this life hack, physically winding the line off with my hands... it would take forever. Then you had to somehow get it off your hands and get the tangled mess into the bin...
Not anymore.
So, all you need is an old pen or long bolt and a drill 🤓
Put the pen or bolt (pen in my case) in to the drill.
Step one complete...can you see where I'm going with this 😎
Attach the line to the pen and pull the trigger.
Continue this process until all line is removed. Or until you've taken enough off, if you want to leave some for backing.
You'll be left with art attack that even Neil Buchanan would be impressed by...
When your done, simply pop it in the bin.
Bish bash boshhh.
